In 2023 Longcroft decided to introduce a complete junior structure comprising of under 11, under 13, under 15 and a junior women’s team. In June 2023 the junior teams participated in the George Ramulu divisional cup and all five teams progressed to the final on June 16, with the under-11 and 15 winning the finals and the under-13 and women’s teams losing in a penalty shoot-out. This also demonstrated that our junior structure is also going to be a force in the Phoenix LFA, and we are progressing in the right direction preparing for the future players.

Longcroft Falcons has developed
Longcroft Falcons has developed in the past two years after COVID drastically. In 2022 Longcroft Falcons decided to re-introduce a Premier League team for the season 2022/2023 and the results were unbelievable, winning the Rustic Manor indoor tournament, the Drums open cup, and being crowned Premier League champions. The Premier League team also were semi-finalists in the pre-easter tournament and were finalists in the Golden Delight tournament. And this did not stop the Premier League team, they qualified for the regional play-offs for promotion and competed against 25 LFA’s, winning the play-offs and attaining a double promotion into the eThekwini Region Super League. This is the first time in the history of football in Phoenix this has happened.
